Child Massage
If you want to make a difference to children’s daily lives, then this course is for you!
The MISP Child Massage is a clothed, child-to-child programme, massaging the back, neck, head and arms. For children aged 4 to 12 years. It is done only after having obtained official permission from the parents and is simply a 10-15 minute daily routine in which:
- children become calmer
- ALL children can participate and also choose not to
- concentration is improved
- children become more confident
- it teaches children to respect themselves and others
- it helps children to distinguish between positive and negative touch
- it reduces bullying and aggressive behavior
Following the ten minute daily massage routine has greatly improved relationships and social skills among the many children who have benefitted from this programme, helping to recognise ‘good’ and ‘bad’ touch, reducing bullying and aggressive behaviour, teaching children to respect themselves and one another. Observations have further shown calmer, more confident children who are better able to concentrate in class.
